When does GTA 6 come out?
GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It was first planned for 2025, then moved to 26 May 2026 and then to 19 November 2026. See the timeline.
Which platforms is GTA 6 on?
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PlayStation Store lists it as PS5 Pro Enhanced. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version. See platforms and editions.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Not announced. Take-Two has said PC is becoming more important in general, but it has not announced a PC version or date. GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 reached PC about 19 and 13 months after their console launches, but that is history, not a plan.
How much does GTA 6 cost?
In the US the Standard Edition is $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition is $99.99. Prices differ by region. See editions.
Are GTA 6 pre-orders open?
Yes. Pre-orders opened on 25 June 2026 on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store and at retailers. Pre-orders and purchases before launch include the Vintage Vice City Pack.
What is in the GTA 6 pre-order bonus?
The Vintage Vice City Pack: a classic car, a garage near Ocean Beach, retro outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, and a weapon pattern. Digital pre-orders on PlayStation and Xbox also include a free month of GTA+.
Does the GTA 6 box include a disc?
No. Physical copies contain a download code. Boxed copies go on sale on 12 November 2026 so you can redeem the code and pre-load before launch.
When can I pre-load GTA 6?
Pre-loading starts on 12 November 2026 for digital pre-orders and redeemed box codes, a week before the 19 November launch.
Does GTA 6 have an online mode?
Rockstar describes GTA 6 as a single-player experience and has not announced an online mode yet. Anything else you read about GTA Online for GTA 6 is speculation. See confirmed vs rumoured.
Where is GTA 6 set?
In Leonida, a fictional state based on Florida. It includes Vice City and five other named regions: Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park. See the region guides and the map.
Who are the main characters in GTA 6?
Two playable protagonists: Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. You can switch between them in the open world.
Is Lucia the first female protagonist in GTA?
She is the first female lead of the modern series. Rockstar introduced her in Trailer 1 in December 2023, and her official bio says she ended up in Leonida Penitentiary after defending her family.
Can you switch between Lucia and Jason?
Yes. Rockstar has shown switching between the two leads on the fly, for example one driving while the other shoots.
Who else has Rockstar named?
Cal Hampton, Brian and Lori Heder, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, the rap duo Real Dimez (Bae-Luxe and Roxy) and the bank robber Raul Bautista. See the characters guide.
How many GTA 6 trailers are there?
Two trailers and one gameplay presentation: Trailer 1 (4 December 2023), Trailer 2 (6 May 2025) and "An Extended Look" (27 August 2026, premiered on Netflix). Watch them on the trailers page.
What songs are in the GTA 6 trailers?
Outlets report that Trailer 1 uses "Love Is a Long Road" by Tom Petty and Trailer 2 uses "Hot Together" by The Pointer Sisters.
How big is the GTA 6 map?
Rockstar has not published a size. Estimates you see online come from fan analysis or leaks, which we do not use. Our map is an approximate illustration and will be redrawn after release.
Is Vice City the whole map?
No. Vice City is one of six named regions in the state of Leonida. The others are the Keys, the Grassrivers wetlands, Port Gellhorn on the Gulf coast, Ambrosia inland and Mount Kalaga National Park in the north.
What vehicles are in GTA 6?
Official footage shows airboats, speedboats, jet skis, helicopters, an amphibious plane, police cruisers, dirt bikes and more. See vehicles and activities.
Does GTA 6 run at 60fps?
Rockstar's Rob Nelson has said the game currently targets 30fps on consoles and that a 60fps mode had not been decided. Treat any other claim as unconfirmed.
What is the GTA 6 age rating?
No official ESRB or PEGI rating had been published at the time of writing. Every mainline GTA since GTA III has been rated M (Mature 17+) in the US, so an M rating is widely expected.
What is "An Extended Look"?
A gameplay-focused presentation of roughly 26 minutes, captured on PS5. It premiered on Netflix on 27 August 2026 and went to Rockstar's YouTube channel the same evening.
Was GTA 6 delayed?
Twice: in May 2025 from 2025 to 26 May 2026, and in November 2025 to 19 November 2026. Rockstar said the extra time was for polish.
Is the Ultimate Edition worth it?
It adds premium vehicles, weapons, clothing and in-game shop items unlocked through the story for $20 more (US). Whether that is worth it depends on how much you value cosmetic and early-game extras. The base game is the same.

Do you use leaked GTA 6 material?
No. We only use official Rockstar material and major outlets reporting on it. Leaks are excluded, and rumours are labelled as rumours on the confirmed vs rumoured page.
How do I track collectibles in GTA 6?
After release we will add collectible categories to the interactive map. You can already mark places as found and add your own pins with notes, stored on your device.
What is GTA+?
Rockstar's paid membership, which has so far offered bonuses in GTA Online. Digital pre-orders of GTA 6 on PlayStation and Xbox include one free month.
