- Leonida
- The fictional US state where GTA 6 takes place, Rockstar's take on Florida. More
- Vice City
- Leonida's big coastal city, modelled on Miami. First seen in GTA: Vice City (2002). More
- Leonida Keys
- The island chain at the southern tip of the state, where Jason Duval's story begins. More
- Grassrivers
- Leonida's wetland wilderness, inspired by the Everglades. More
- Port Gellhorn
- A faded resort town on the Gulf coast. More
- Ambrosia
- The industrial heartland, home of the Allied Crystal sugar refinery. More
- Mount Kalaga National Park
- The forested wilderness on Leonida's northern border. More
- Kelly County
- A county name seen on sheriff vehicles in official material; its location has not been shown. More
- Liberty City
- GTA's New York-inspired city. Lucia's backstory mentions it, but it is outside Leonida. More
- Protagonist switching
- Changing between Lucia and Jason in the open world, shown in official gameplay. More
- Wanted system
- How police pursue you. Official gameplay previews describe a version that tracks what police know about your appearance and vehicle. More
- Rockstar North
- The Rockstar studio in Edinburgh that leads development of Grand Theft Auto. More
- Rockstar Games
- The publisher and developer of GTA, owned by Take-Two Interactive. More
- Take-Two Interactive
- Rockstar's parent company. It discusses GTA 6 in its quarterly results. More
- Newswire
- Rockstar's official news blog, where trailers, dates and delays are announced. More
- Trailer 1
- The first official trailer, released on 4 December 2023. More
- Trailer 2
- The second official trailer, released on 6 May 2025 with the expanded website. More
- An Extended Look
- Rockstar's roughly 26-minute gameplay presentation, which premiered on Netflix on 27 August 2026. More
- Standard Edition
- The base game, $79.99 in the US. More
- Ultimate Edition
- The base game plus premium in-game items, $99.99 in the US. More
- Vintage Vice City Pack
- The pre-order bonus: a classic car, a garage, retro outfits and more. More
- Code-in-box
- A physical retail box that contains a download code instead of a disc. GTA 6's physical copies work this way. More
- Pre-load
- Downloading a game before launch so it is ready to play at unlock time. GTA 6 pre-loading starts on 12 November 2026. More
- GTA+
- Rockstar's paid membership. Digital pre-orders include one free month. More
- PS5 Pro Enhanced
- A PlayStation Store label for games with improvements on PS5 Pro. GTA 6 carries it; details are not published. More
- Region-level placement
- Our map convention: a place Rockstar named without showing where it is sits at its region marker. More

- Rumour
- A claim not confirmed by Rockstar or Take-Two. We label these clearly and never present them as fact. More
- Leak
