Lucia Caminos
One of the two playable leads and the series' first female protagonist of the modern era. She was raised to fight from childhood, ended up in Leonida Penitentiary after defending her family, and walks out of prison determined to build a better life alongside Jason.

- Standing up for her family is what put her inside Leonida Penitentiary; the official bio credits pure luck for getting her out.[1][2]
- Her background ties her to Liberty City, where she and her mother once hoped for a better life.[1][3]
- Trailer 1 opens with her in an orange prison uniform talking with an officer, brushing off her incarceration as bad luck.[4][5][6]
- Trailer 2 shows her leaving the penitentiary and briefly fighting in an MMA-style cage.[7][8]
- She and Jason are pitched as a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style criminal couple pulled into a conspiracy spanning Leonida after a simple job goes wrong.[9][10][11]

Lucia is linked to Leonida Penitentiary, Vice City, Liberty City (backstory). Her story starts behind bars in Leonida Penitentiary, whose location Rockstar has not shown yet. It is listed on our map as "location not shown yet".
Lucia and Jason
GTA 6 is built around the pair. Rockstar lets you switch between them in the open world, and the official material frames them as partners in crime and in life. How that relationship plays out is part of the story. Media previews of the official gameplay reported that the romance itself is optional[12]. Read Jason Duval's profile.
What is not known yet
Rockstar has not confirmed Lucia's full backstory beyond the official bio, nor who plays the character. It has not said how much of the story is told from each lead's point of view. We will update this page from official sources after release on 19 November 2026.
